![]() The European Energy Forum is an informal FORUM where energy subjects related to the EU political dialogue are presented and debated. The EEF was set up at the initiative of several members of the European Parliament at the beginning of the 1980s. After 1994, the modified statutes established our Forum as an "A.S.B.L." (no-profit-making association).
The EEF's main concern is to facilitate and promote the dialogue within the European Union between members of the European Parliament, officials from the European Commission and representatives from industries involved in the energy sector. The EEF supports neither political nor economic interests and takes no decision. As the European Parliament assumes legislative power in respect of many areas of energy and research policy, the demand for regular dialogue between the various parties involved at the European level is high. In this context, the EEF aims at bringing forward information to the different actors of the Energy sector.
